Things to do in La Paz BCS – non water related!
Here are solid non-water things to do in La Paz, BCS (and a couple easy land-based day trips):

In town (easy + walkable)
- Malecón stroll / bike / skate: 5 km waterfront promenade with sculptures, photo spots, and parks (good at sunrise/sunset).
- Centro Histórico loop: Jardín Velasco → Catedral de Ntra. Sra. de La Paz → MUABCS (art museum) all right together.
- Museo de Arte de Baja California Sur (MUABCS): free entry; typically Tue–Sun 10:00–18:00.
- Museo Regional de Antropología e Historia (BCS): great for local history; Tue–Sun 9:00–15:00, general entry listed at $75 MXN (and free-entry policies noted by the museum).
- Museo de la Ballena y Ciencias del Mar (museum experience, not a boat tour): Mon–Sat 9:00–14:00, with posted general/guide pricing.
- Street art / murals: DIY mural hunt or take a “Street Art LPZ” style walk through downtown.
- Teatro Juárez (historic theater): worth checking if there’s a show or cultural program while you’re in town.
- Markets + local crafts
- Casa del Artesano Sudcaliforniano (souvenirs made by local artisans; commonly posted 9am–9pm).
- Mercado Municipal Gral. Nicolás Bravo for a classic local-market stop.
Outdoors (still “non-water”)
- Cerro de la Calavera hike (city viewpoint): ~5 km round trip, moderate, rocky/no shade—bring water and go early/late.
- Rancho Cacachilas (hiking / MTB / ranch day experiences): private trail network (60+ km) + day tours and ranch-to-table food options.
Short day trips (land-based)
- El Triunfo (old mining town): museums + history (Silver Route / music collections) and the iconic smokestack “La Ramona.”
- Todos Santos (Pueblo Mágico vibe): galleries, cafés, and a very walkable historic center.
If you tell me how many days, whether you’ll have a car, and if you want this more food-focused / culture-focused / hiking-focused, I’ll turn it into a tight itinerary.
